Ross Noble - Strange Gags from Newcastle's Finest
Born in Newcastle in 1976, this would-be comic was barely aged 15 when he performed his first stand-up gig at a local pub. The memory of the audience's sea of laughter following him offstage, the young talent instantly caught the proverbial performance bug, and he hasn't looked back since. Starting out as just a guy in a suit trying to impersonate Jack Dee, the up-and-comer soon realised he had to create his own brand of banter in order to make a mark in the comedy world. Drawing heavily from his experience as a street performer, Noble adopted a conversational type of comedy that saw him talking to audience members and basing his off-the-cuff stand-up based on their reactions.
Receiving a Time Out award for his show Chickenmaster in 2000, Noble toured extensively to gain more exposure and a gaggle of fans along the way.
