NHRA Gatornationals TicketsAlthough Wally Parks founded the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) in 1951, the Pro Stock Car division and the Gatornationals didn't begin until 1970. One of the biggest drag race series of the US national season, the Gatornationals in Gainesville, Fla., include competitions in the Funny Car and Top Fuel divisions. In more than 50 years of races held at Gainesville Raceway, fans have viewed numerous world records being set as well as blurring speeds, exploding tires and harrowing auto accidents, including one in 1985 that also sparked a forest fire. The on-site rescue team, NHRA Safety Safari, first pulled Bob Gottschalk from his flaming Camaro, then rushed into the woods where he had crashed to extinguish the blaze. While not every race promises quite that much excitement, there really is not a dull moment in Gainesville during Gatornationals, held every year in mid-March. The 2020 Gatornationals are scheduled for Thursday, March 12, through Sunday, March 15. Don't miss a second of the drag racing action. Get your NHRA Gatornationals tickets at StubHub today.
