NHRA US Nationals Tickets
The history of NHRA Mello Yellow Drag Racing can be traced back to the years directly following World War II on the back roads of America. In those days, hot rod enthusiasts would gather in places like the Mojave Desert and race at speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour on dry lake beds. The NHRA held its first organized races in 1953 and the inaugural NHRA event was held on a small piece of a parking lot located on the California State Fairgrounds in Pomona, California. The first national event was held in Great Bend, Kans. in 1955 and settled in Indianapolis in 1961. Since that first race in 1953, NHRA racing has become the premier name in drag racing. With more than 40,000 licensed competitors and 120 NHRA licensed tracks, the series has grown exponentially since its humble beginnings. The US Nationals are considered the "world's biggest drag race," the marquee event of every NHRA schedule.
