Newton Faulkner - 'Dream Catch Me' Singer Back With New Album

Sam Newton Battenberg Faulkner grew up in Surrey and began playing the guitar age 13 after joining the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts. Growing his distinctive red dreadlocks, he moved to the Academy of Contemporary Music in his late teens and joined a Green Day cover band. By 2006 he was playing solo gigs at local festivals and was picked up by BBC Radio 2 who began to promote his music, attracting the attention of Sony BMG records. After the release of the chart-topping debut album Hand Built By Robots, 2007 also saw the star support James Morrison, Paolo Nutini and John Mayer on tour. His single 'Dream Catch Me' was an huge hit, having proved an instant favourite with prominent radio DJs. This was quickly followed by one of his most popular tracks to date, a cover of Massive Attack's 'Teardrop'. Second album Rebuilt by Humans was released in 2009, also taking a top five spot in the charts, and led to numerous festival appearances that drew in audiences from all over the world. The hits kept coming with third album Write It on Your Skin, and the acoustic artist showed his innovative side by streaming the recording of fourth album Studio Zoolive online for five weeks, opening up the creative process to his fans. His highly anticipated fifth album Human Love was released in November 2015.
