Colombian pop-folk with Morat

Morat: the sound of summer
The founding members of Morat—Juan Pablo Cortés, Juan Pablo Piñeros, Simón Vargas Morales and Alejandro Posada Carrasco—first met at the age of five, studying together at school and some of them continuing to study at the same university. With a shared interest in music, they often played together and later formed a band, being inspired by artists such as Bacilos and Joaquin Sabina. With their folk-infused brand of pop-rock, the band immediately began to attract attention in Bogotá and across Colombia, providing the perfect soundtrack to summer nights and road trips. Although singing in Spanish, the band have had huge international success and infuse influences from outside of Latin America, including the banjo, which adds a distinctly Americana edge to their music. To witness this Colombian quartet in action, simply secure your Morat tickets here today and book your place at one of their upcoming shows. Got extra or unwanted tickets? International pop quartet
After perfecting their craft during their early years, in 2015, the Colombian band broke onto the international scene with "Mi Nuevo Vicio"—a single created in collaboration with Mexican singer Paulina Rubio. The song went on to become Platinum-certified as well as achieving number one status on both sides of the Atlantic – in Mexico and Spain. In the same year, "Cómo te atreves" resulted in them becoming household names in Spain, and they released their debut studio album in the following year, "Sobre el amor y sus efectos secundario." Achieving great success across Europe and Latin America, the band toured worldwide and proceeded to write material for their next album "Balas perdidas" which was released in 2018 and launched yet another world tour and a number of hit singles, including "Presiento" with Spanish singer Aitana. As one of the world’s biggest bands from South America, they have earned a reputation for bringing their music to life during their spectacular live shows.
