This brilliant musician studied music at the prestigious University of Edinburgh in the '90s, learning to compose and play the piano with expert proficiency. After graduating, he co-founded the contemporary classical group Piano Circus and stayed with the ensemble for ten years, producing five illustrious albums covering works by the likes of Brian Eno and Arvo Part. He decided to go solo in the early 2000s, releasing his first album of 'documentary music' called Memoryhouse in 2002. Accompanied by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, he combined ambient sounds, vocals and beautiful poetry to bring a contemporary twist to classical music on lauded tracks like 'Sarajevo' and 'Last Days'.
