Lady Gaga: 2020 - 2021 Chromatica Tour
Six Grammy awards; three Brit Awards; a Golden Globe; over 28 million albums and 146 million singles sold; and some of the catchiest, most memorable pop songs ever written (think "Poker Face", "Born This Way" and "Applause") – few artists in the history of pop music have experienced the meteoric rise to superstardom quite like Lady Gaga.
Still only in her 30s, Gaga is already one of the top-20 best-selling artists of all time and ranks among the wealthiest and most influential musicians on the planet. Her unconventionality and provocative style has helped her deliver five studio albums – all of which have sold millions of copies – while the fever and anticipation that surround her live shows is representative of an artist who is on top of the world.
Lady Gaga is set to release a new album, Chromatica, in 2020 along with a world tour throught 2020 and 2021.
Lady Gaga: pop megastar at peak of her powers
Lady Gaga made her debut in August 2008 with studio album The Fame. Propelled by international chart-topping dance-pop and electropop hits such as "Just Dance" and "Poker Face", the album went straight to UK number one. A year later Gaga released The Fame Monster, a deluxe edition of The Fame that was ultimately a standalone EP. Its lead single, "Bad Romance", became an international hit, while subsequent singles "Telephone" and "Alejandro" were top ten hits across the globe.
The singer's second studio album Born This Way was released in May 2011 and confirmed Gaga's status as the biggest popstar in the world at that time as it reached the number one spot in 21 countries worldwide. The album's eponymous lead single "Born This Way" was an international success, peaking at number one in nineteen countries. Gaga's third studio album, Artpop, was released in November 2013 and includes the singles "Applause" and "Do What U Want", while Her fifth album Joanne (2016) was another US number one album; making Gaga the first woman to have four number one albums in the nation during the 2010s.
The hugely successful Joanne World Tour followed. However, Lady Gaga was forced to cut the tour short and cancel three UK dates (and seven others across Europe) on the advice of her medical team.
