Kesha: pop superstar to play one off show at London's Electric Brixton in November after release of new album Rainbow
After signing to producer Dr. Luke's label Kemosabe Records in 2005 – aged just 18 – Kesha's big break came from an uncredited and unpaid cameo on rapper Flo Rida's 2009 number one hit "Right Round". Debut album Animal (2009) took her to the top of both the US and Candian charts soon after, before "Tik Tok" – the lead single from her second album Warrior – propelled her to global success as it quickly become one of the best-selling digital singles of all time.
After a five year gap, Kesha made a triumphant in 2017; releasing her third studio album Rainbow to critical acclaim. Widely praised for its powerful, feminist statements, it rose to number one in the US and number four in the UK; showing that the public's appetite for Kesha remains undimmed despite her long break from music.
What's more, the singer-songwriter has announced that she will be returning to the UK this winter for a one-off performance at London’s Electric Brixton on 14 November – her first show this side of the Atlantic since 2013. Her theatrical and high-energy concerts boast some of the most consistently-high review scores in the industry, so don't miss your chance to see one of pop's biggest superstars live in the UK, make sure you buy Kesha tickets at StubHub today.
Kesha: hitmaker comes out fighting after ups and downs
After a meteoric rise to the top in 2009, Kesha's career has been disrupted by a long and controversial legal battle with longtime producer Dr. Luke that has more or less seen her exit the music studio for half a decade. She will be hoping her comeback in 2017 is the start of an equally successful period as her first few years in the music business, with third album Rainbow already showing signs of being a huge commercial success.
During her time away from the music studio, Kesha continued to write songs for both herself and other artists; recording 22 songs on her own and giving them to her label ahead of Rainbow.
Speaking about the record, Kesha said: "My new album Rainbow is dedicated to my fans. I would not have made it to this point without my animals and supporters so now come out and join the celebration"
Critics meanwhile have praised the record as a "re-birth", "a roller coaster of emotions" and a "powerful, emotional and strongly feminist record that is worth the four-year wait". See her ferocious comeback for yourself – buy tickets Kesha tickets at StubHub today.
