Prolific Billboard country chart-topper
Born in Whangerei, New Zealand in 1967, Keith Urban grew up in the Australian state of Queensland, where he developed a love of country music. After releasing his eponymous debut album in 1991, he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee, co-writing tracks for Toby Keith and the Raybon Brothers before forming his own short-lived band, The Ranch. Urban resumed his solo career in 1999 with another self-titled LP that spawned the first of many Billboard Hot Country Songs chart-toppers, 'But for the Grace of God'. 2002's 'Golden Road' produced the Grammy-winning single 'You'll Think of Me' and the decade's biggest country hit, 'Somebody Like You', while 2004's 'Be Here' went four times platinum. Urban later added to his catalogue with 2006's 'Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing', 2009's 'Defying Gravity', and 2010's 'Get Closer', while in 2013 he teamed up with Miranda Lambert and Eric Church on 'Fuse'. In 2015, he spent 12 weeks at number one in the US country charts with 'Blue Ain't Your Color' and three years later scored his seventh consecutive Billboard Top 10 album with 'Graffiti U'. Urban has also served as a judge on 'The Voice Australia' and 'American Idol', and in 2006, he married Hollywood star Nicole Kidman. You can both buy and sell Keith Urban tickets on StubHub.
The vigour of a man half his age
With no less than 20 number one singles on the US Hot Country chart to his name, Keith Urban has a plethora of hits to choose from when it comes to his sell-out live shows, including setlist staples such as 'Somebody Like You', 'Days Go By', and 'You Look Good In My Shirt'. But the Grammy winner also likes to keep things fresh by showcasing the best of his current album and putting new spins on familiar tunes. He's also not averse to throwing a nod to his upbringing, with cover versions of tracks made famous by Australian and New Zealand artists such as Cold Chisel's 'Flame Trees' and 5 Seconds of Summer's 'Lie to Me'. The Keith Urban live experience is also a value-for-money one, often clocking in around the two-hour mark as Urban reels through 20-plus numbers with the vigour of a man half his age.
