Kacey Musgraves: Country to Country festival headliner

Born in Texas, Kacey Musgraves started writing at a young age; learning the guitar aged 12 and finally breaking into the country music industry at 18. After being discovered by independent record label Triple Pop, the American recorded two songs, before joining country legends Lady Antebellum on their Own the Night tour in 2012. Her official debut single "Merry Go 'Round" (released on Mercury Records) followed and was later included on debut album Same Trailer Different Park. 2012 also saw the multi-talented musician co-write "Undermine" with Trent Dabbs, which was featured on popular US TV show Nashville.

At the 56th Annual Grammy Awards she received four nominations, winning both Best Country Song for "Merry Go 'Round" and Best Country Album for Same Trailer Different Park. The album was subsequently certified gold in August 2014, having sold over half a million copies. The critically acclaimed Pageant Material followed in 2015. It was voted Country Album of the Year by The Guardian, while single "Dime Store Cowgirl" was nominated for "Song of the Year" at the 2016 Americana Music Honors & Awards.
