Singing, dancing and acting: the triple threat
As a product of the Mountview Academy of Theatre, it wasn’t surprising that Jordan Luke Gage would emerge with the skills needed to take to the stage, and anyone who saw him in Bat Out Of Hell, the pivotal show in his career, would quickly learn of his capabilities. Dancing up a storm in the numerous routines that the ensemble had to cover or singing his heart out as the lead alternate, either way it was clear that Jordan had the skills to succeed. While the stage is his main domain, he is no stranger to the camera, having appeared on television shows like Channel 4’s Cucumber and in films like How Not to Disappear Completely. He even played the part of a Hogwarts Schoolboy in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. What are you waiting for? Get Jordan Luke Cage tickets here.
A theatrical journey up the ladder of success
His stage career really began in 2011 as part of the ensemble for Songs of My Life at the Garrick Theatre. Then things began to grow slowly with parts like Marilyn in Taboo at the Brixton Clubhouse. But it wasn’t until Bat Out of Hell came to the Dominion Theatre that Jordan Luke Gage got his chance. He was the alternative for the character Strat and slowly found himself performing the lead for a couple of shows a week and running with the ensemble the rest of the week. It was a start, but he was still the alternate. Then it happened and Jordan was brought in as the lead to replace Andrew Polec. This was it. He was Strat, the lead in the hit musical Bat Out of Hell. And things just got better from here as, in 2019/20, Jordan got the part of Romeo in & Juliet at the Manchester Opera House and Shaftesbury Theatre. It is a musical which ponders what would have happened if Juliet hadn’t died in the end of Shakespeare’s tragic love story. Jordan Luke Gage has gone from strength to strength.
