Ho99o9 Tickets
Ho99o9 tickets
Ho99o9 (pronounced "horror") blends an anti-establishment punk rock ethos with the frenzied noise of electronic music; aggressive, lyrical rapping; and the driving aggression and occasional screaming of thrash metal. The result has been dubbed "freaky punk-rap" by Los Angeles's LA Weekly, and "villainous yet refreshing" by Vice's Noisey. The ho99o9 tour circuit includes the biggest rock festivals and clubs in the United States and Europe.
Fans who score ho99o9 tickets are guaranteed exactly one thing: The artists will give it their all, leaving the stage peppered with their blood, sweat, and exuberant rage. They've been quoted as saying they thrive on the chaos their energy helps create, and it's not unusual for fans to become so frenzied, they start flinging about beer kegs and other fixtures.
Ho99o9 background
Ho99o9 was first founded by theOGm and Eaddy in Newark, NJ -- but the East Coast of the United States didn't quite "get" them. When they relocated to Los Angeles in 2014 they were immediately embraced by a cult-like following, based largely on their energetic live shows, which sometimes end with one or more of the artists quite literally hanging from the rafters or leaping into the frenzied mosh pit they helped create. They have since added a string of collaborators to their shows, including drummer Ian Longwell of Santigold.
Ho99o9 career milestones
Widespread recognition came almost immediately after the move: ho99o9 was named The Guardian's "New Band of the Week" and one of Rolling Stone's "10 Artists You Need to Know" in 2014, and by 2015 they were played stages at the famed SXSW Music Festival. By spring and summer of 2015, they were touring and playing in Europe's biggest cities, including London, Paris, Amsterdam and Brighton.
Although ho99o9's fame is primarily driven by their frenzied, adrenaline-laden live shows, they have released several albums, including the EP Mutant Freax in 2014, and a single of "Casey Jones/Cum Rag" that was performed live on Last Call With Carson Daly, also in 2014.
The band acknowledges that there's a strong visual/performance art aspect to their performances, so it's little surprise that a recording of their live performance was hosted at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. That visual element is emphasised in a string of music video releases that all, quite deliberately, evoke a theme that echoes the pronunciation of the band's name: horror.
Other releases include the EP Horrors of the Family (2015), the mixtape Dead Bodies in the Lake (2015) and their debut full-length album, United States of Horror (2017), which they published under their own imprint.
