The Hampton Pirates' history goes back to 1902. While the team has competed in various conferences, the 2019 football season will bring change. The Pirates will begin their journey as part of the Big South. The team plays its home games at Armstrong Stadium in Hampton, Va. The stadium can seat around 17,000 fans. The Pirates have won seven Historically Black College University (HBCU) National Championships.
