Halestorm: US hard rockers constantly out on tour
Since forming in 1997, American hard-rock band Halestorm have honed their trade with a schedule of almost constant touring; often notching up more than 250 shows a year alongside groups as diverse as Seether, Avenged Sevenfold and Bullet For My Valentine. After 12 years on and off the tour bus, the group released their critically acclaimed self-titled debut album in 2009, with first single "I Get Off" receiving considerable air time in their native US.

Halestorm: rock's late bloomers
Brother and sister Arejay and Lizzy Hale formed Halestorm in Pennsylvania at the end of 1997. After a number of line-up changes, the pair eventually settled on four permanent members, with Lizzy on vocals and guitar, Arejay on drums, Joe Hottinger on guitar and Josh Smith on bass.
Two years after the release of their self-titled debut, an EP of covers titled ReAniMate was launched in 2011, including versions of "Out Ta Get Me" by Guns N' Roses and Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance". It was followed a year later by the musically diverse and emotionally revealing The Strange Case of... both a critical and commercial success, the record's first single and video "Love Bites (So Do I)" won the 2013 Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, while "Here's to Us" was featured on the US television show Glee. The album debuted at number seven on UK Rock Charts and was certified Gold in March 2016.
