Godsmack is back with a vengeance
Over two decades into their storied careers and Godsmack seem to find a never-ending energy to keep their fans screaming for more. Their 2018 release, "When Legends Rise," is no exception to that tradition, as the bands continues to bring to the stage all that is good and grungy. Godsmack tickets are now available to buy or sell at StubHub for concerts in the UK and all across the US.
The Boston boys, a history
When Godsmack formed in 1995, the grunge wave was in full swing. Nobody would have predicted the next wave in the music world would arise in Boston, yet there was Godsmack. Their musical influences are varied, drifting from heavy metal and progressive rock to an amalgamation of grunge and hard rock. Accordingly, the band has drawn common comparisons to various musical powerhouses such as Seattle rock-band Alice in Chains and thrash metal forefathers Metallica, especially lead-singer and guitarist Sully Erna, whose unique vocals have been likened to the singers of both bands. Their first studio album "Godsmack", arguably their most successful album, went on to become 4x platinum certified and paved the way for multiple Grammy nominations and world tours. With the release of their third studio album, "Faceless," the band had a streak of three consecutive number-one albums on the billboard top 200: certifying themselves not just as platinum artists but as seminal artists of their generation. Their fame has grown to such a point that to celebrate the release of their album "1000hp," then Boston mayor Marty Marsh declared August 6th to be "Godsmack Day" in the city of Boston.
Godsmack in concert
Though they have been touring for over two decades now, Godsmack tickets remain in high demand. Their blockbuster tours with acts such as Black Sabbath and Shinedown have seen the band travel all over the globe. If anything, the years have only sharpened the skills of the artists as they've perfected the art of amping up crowds. Lead guitarist Tony Rombola's riffs on their single "Bulletproof" are a testament to this as his distorted heavy melodies interweave with drummer Shannon Larkin's steady bass beats to form a pulsing anthem that jolts the listeners' senses and stirs them into a fervour. Meanwhile, Erna's vocals don't take second stage to any of this. His iconic growl remains the steadfast pillar that forms the core of the band's identity. Godsmack tickets are available to be bought or sold on StubHub, so come be a part of history and see the legends that continue to rise and rise again.
