Finch Biography - On the Wings of Success

Formed in the late '90s, this Californian quintet signed to iconic emo record label Drive-Thru Records soon after their formation. 2001 saw the release of their debut EP Falling into Place, which quickly saw the band pick up fans after over 6,000 copies of the record were sold within just the first few months of its release. This was closely followed by debut album What It Is to Burn in 2002. Containing raw tracks filled with the passionate screams of frontman Nate Barcalow, the band quickly soared to success, with their second album, Say Hello to Sunshine, entering the top 25 in the Billboard 200.

During their time together the group have explored their separate musical tastes outside of the band too which has resulted in a more mature post-hardcore sound for the quintet. Despite breaking up in 2010 the group couldn't ignore the lure of the live stage and came back together at the end of 2012 for a live tour celebrating 10 years since the release of their debut album.
