Enter Shikari: fifth album another huge success for Hertfordshire boys
Born from the ashes of previous band Hybryd, vocalist Rou Reynolds, Chris Batten and Rob Rolfe took on their current moniker after adding guitarist Liam 'Rory' Clewlow to the line-up in 2003. Selling demos at gigs and via their own website, Enter Shikari began to see success in the early '00s with EPs such as Sorry, You're Not a Winner, taking on a relentless touring schedule and rejecting advances from major record companies.
By 2006, they had founded their own label, Ambush Reality, and produced debut album Take to the Skies. Preceded by hit single "Anything Can Happen in the Next Half Hour", the LP was an incredible success, entering the UK charts in the top five.
Their popularity didn't end there though, and not only did they become the second unsigned band ever to sell out London's Astoria, but their sophomore album Common Dreads saw similar success to the first, prompting a sell-out tour. First single "Juggernauts" was listed as radio DJ Zane Lowe's hottest track in the world, and brought about a relationship with Hospital Records, which released dubstep remixes of various singles and albums to come.
Another top five hit came with A Flash Flood of Colour in 2012, which would see the band tour festivals across the world, including Soundwave, T in the Park and Reading and Leeds. Soon, rumours began circulating of a fourth album, with The Mindsweep dropping in 2015.
Now with the critically acclaimed fifth record The Spark under their belts, the band are out on the road to showcase their new material. Get your Enter Shikari tickets at StubHub UK now to be a part of the crowd.
