Darkside Biography - Space-Rock Heroes

American-Chilean musician Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington have been long time collaborators, both achieving success as electro DJs in their own right before deciding to join forces as a duo. The Brooklyn boys met when they were both studying at Brown University in Rhode Island and Harrington proceeded to support Jaar on his European solo tour in 2011, when the pair decided to fuse their skills together. Drawing inspiration from the spectrum of dance sub-genres including blue-wave and minimal techno, the double act started to craft their beats and released their highly experimental eponymous EP in 2011 under the prominent Clown and Sunset label.

Their darker follow up collaboration Random Access Memories Memories was influenced by Daft Punk's ground-breaking 2013 record andcemented the double-act as a truly exciting new force in the field of electro. Soon their fans were in a frenzy for debut full length LP Psychic in October 2013, which gained glowing reviews off the back of glossy industrial disco tracks like 'Golden Arrow' and 'Paper Trails', helping the outfit to become one of the most talked-about new electro acts of the year.
