Annual music extravaganzas

In the 1960s the addition of the National Sports Centre brought cricket and football finals to the park along with many thousands of new visitors. And, of course, we shouldn’t forget to talk about the local team! Crystal Palace is also known as the home of the legendary football team nicknamed "the Eagles", Crystal Palace FC, who played in the first-ever season of the Premier League. Back in the park, concerts including one by the hit UK band UB40 have attracted huge ticket-buying crowds.
