Clean Bandit 2017 UK tour: no band you'd rather see
Following in the well-worn tradition of ground-breaking British musical acts taking off big on both sides of the Atlantic, Clean Bandit's fusion of classical and dance music has seen them rise to be one of the most cutting edge bands in the world today.
Perhaps most famous for their chart-topping, Grammy Award winning single "Rather Be", the collaboration with Jess Glyne was the fastest-selling January release since 1996 and ended 2014 as the year's second best-selling song in the UK, selling over 1.1 million copies. The band have since followed up that success with two further number one singles in the last year with "Rockabye" and "Symphony" both topping the charts.
Widely regarded as one of the most entertaining live acts in the pop business, Clean Bandit are often praised for their high-energy, carnivalesque shows, while they also have a reputation for being joined by special guests; with the likes of pop stars Zara Larsson and Louisa surprising fans at recent gigs. After again thrilling crowds with a brilliant set of classics and new material during their slots at this year's V Festival, Glastonbury and Manchester Pride the foursome have announced a list of brand new tour dates to see out the rest of 2017.
The band will play seven shows around the UK in October and November, including Manchester, London and Glasgow. They'll also stop at: Bournemouth, Birmingham, Cambridge and Newcastle – meaning fans up and down the country will have a chance to see Clean Bandit perform live.
What's more, upcoming electropop singer/songwriter Starley (best known for her catchy, 2016 single "Call On Me") will be bringing her dreamy sound along too after being listed as the band's support act. So what are you waiting for? Grab your Clean Bandit tickets at StubHub UK today.
Clean Bandit: where electronic and classical music collides
Discovered by the Hackney-based label Black Butter in 2011, the band – consisting of Jack Patterson, Luke Patterson and Grace Chatto – standout from the musical crowd with their unique sound and lack of a consistent lead singer. Instead, the group choose to work with a variety of vocalists, thus allowing them to explore more musical terrain as a result.
Nowhere was this more evident than on their debut album New Eyes, an expansive record that reached number three in the album charts and featured collaborations with artists such as Lizzo, Stylo G and Rae Morris. This success has also led onto further collaborations, most notably with none other than the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.
