Caravan Palace Biography - Unstoppable French Electro Swing
The original band formed as a three-piece consisting of Arnaud Vial, Hugues Payen and Charles Delaporte, though the groups member now number seven. Drawn together by their love of jazz legend Django Reinhardt and the swinging sounds of the 1920s the trio combined these leanings with influences from modern day dance acts. After attracting vast popularity on Myspace, the band eventually released their debut self-titled album in 2008, charting at Number 11 in France. Demonstrating exactly what the trio were capable of, Caravan Palace allowed the band to build a vast fan base, and toured with the album across Europe and the USA.
After returning with follow-up LP Panic in 2012, their international profile has exploded, with concert tickets selling out and performances to packed houses the norm. Now the band have finally come to the UK, and are certain to put on pumping shows that will have the entire audience on their feet and dancing to their genre bending rhythms.
