From Boombayah to the Billboard charts
Often stylised as BLACKPINK, YG Entertainment's first girl band in six years first caught attention in 2016 with the release of debut single, "Square One." Members Jisoo, Jennie, Rose and Lisa soon established themselves as K-Pop idols when "Whistle" and "Boombayah" occupied the top two positions of the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, following in the footsteps of Psy and Big Bang. Following a winning appearance on SBS talent show "Inkigayo," the group scored a second chart-topper with "Playing with Fire," won several Best Newcomer Awards in their South Korean homeland and released a self-titled debut Japanese EP. The group consolidated their status as the K-Pop scene's brightest new talents when their 2018 single, "Ddu-Du," became the highest-charting US Hot 100 hit ever by a female Korean act, and its parent EP, "Square Up," reached No.40 on the Billboard 200. That same year, the group also collaborated with Dua Lipa, starred in their own reality show, "Blackpink House," and received three nominations at the Teen Choice Awards. You can both buy and sell Blackpink tickets on StubHub now, so don't delay.
In-demand live performers
As you'd expect from an act with one of the most viewed YouTube videos of all time, Blackpink tickets are in high demand: More than 200,000 people tried to get their hands on some for the group's 2017 debut showcase at Tokyo's 14,000-capacity Nippon Budokan; a similar number applied for tickets for the girls' first ever Korean date at Seoul's Olympic Gymnastics Arena; while in 2018, the band had to add a Christmas Eve date at the Kyocera Dome Osaka to their arena tour in order to give disappointed fans another chance to see them up close and personal. Fans who have been lucky enough to watch the quartet in action will already know that the Blackpink live experience involves exquisite choreography, super-stylish outfits and plenty of crowd interaction alongside flawless renditions of singles such as "Stay," "As If It's Your Last," and, of course, their Billboard chart breakthrough hit, "Ddu-Du."
