Californian blues rocker Beth Hart has been one of the world's leading blues musicians for close to two decades, clocking up six US Blues chart number one albums (including three of which were collaborations with the brilliant Joe Bonamassa). Her latest solo album Fire on the Floor took a more soulful, introspective direction than past work, with the critically acclaimed record hitting the top of the US blues charts and paving the way for another get together with Bonamassa on 2018 album chart-topper Black Coffee. Beth Hart: US chart-topper
Born in Los Angeles in 1972, Beth Hart saw limited success with first album Immortal in 1996, but it would take three years for her to make her true breakthrough. That came with sophomore effort Screamin' for My Supper, which spawned single "LA Song (Out of This Town)". The track gave the talented blues star her first chart hit thanks to its feature on TV show Beverly Hills, 90210, while "My California" was later used to close out the sixth series of the David Duchovny vehicle Californication. She found success on stage too, singing the lead in Love, Janis, a musical based on Janis Joplin's letters to her mother. The early 2000s would see some success with albums Leave the Light On and 37 Days, before her work with blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa made a real impact on the charts. In 2011 she first contributed vocals to his track "No Love on the Street" before recording collaborative album Don't Explain, which would see a number four placement in the UK Independent Chart along with a number three on the Billboard US Top Blues Album list. The duo would continue in 2013 with second album Seesaw, and released Live in Amsterdam in 2014, a concert recording from the Dutch capital.
As well as her work with Bonamassa, Beth Hart continued to release solo material, including her 5th studio album My California in 2012, from which single "Take it Easy on Me" found success in the UK and featured on popular BBC TV drama Waterloo Road. By 2014 she had been nominated for Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year at the Blues Music Awards and her album Better Than Home went straight to the number one spot in both the Billboard Blues Charts and the iTunes Blues Charts. Making her way to the UK again soon, don't miss your chance to get Beth Hart tickets at StubHub UK.
