As a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Bernhoft has taken the international music world by storm. Singer

Bernhoft (whose real name is Jarle Bernhoft), is originally from Nittedal, Norway. As a young vocalist and guitarist, he started performing while he was still in school. His first major professional work was with the band Explicit Lyrics, with whom he performed and recorded during the late 1990s. After the group broke up, he founded the Norway-based rock band SPAN, with whom he recorded the albums Mass Distraction (2004) and Vs. Time (2005), both international successes. Since the breakup of SPAN in 2005, Bernhoft has continued to pursue a solo career, releasing his first solo album, Ceramik City Chronicles, in 2008. In 2014, his album Islanders reached the top of the VG-lista charts in Norway.

Bernhoft has also achieved major international fame through his YouTube videos, which have received millions of hits throughout the world. In particular, his YouTube video "C'mon Talk" has received nearly four million hits alone. In addition to his work as a solo artist, Bernhoft has made guest appearances on recordings by a number of other prominent Norwegian groups, including Bigbang and The Køhn/Johansen Sextet.

Breakthrough

Bernhoft's major UK breakthrough came in June 2014, when he was invited to appear for the first time at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival. In conjunction with this appearance, he performed his song "Wind You Up" on BBC One television.

Hit Albums

Bernhoft's second solo album, Solidarity Breaks, charted at the top of VG-lista for seven weeks in 2011. His third album, Islanders, has had similar success, and topped VG-lista's charts in 2014. While his albums have produced a number of hit singles, his most popular hit to date has been "C'mon Talk," which has received international success and widespread play on YouTube.
