Becky Hill: The Voice UK's most successful contestant

Having only made it to the semi finals, it might come as a surprise to some to discover that Becky Hill is actually the most successful contestant to come out of The Voice since its inception in 2012. Hill auditioned for the show's first series, and performed "Ordinary People" at the blind auditions. Both Jessie J and Will.i.am turned their judge's chairs for her, with Hill opting to join Jessie. In the battle rounds she competed against Indie and Pixie performing the song "Irreplaceable", she won the battle and progressed to the live shows but was eliminated.

Lending her vocals to Dutch producer Oliver Helden's number one hit "Gecko (Overdrive)" in 2014, Hill became the show's first contestant to top the UK charts and has gone on to record two more top 40 tracks: "Piece of Me" (with MK) and "False Alarm" (with Norwegian DJ Matoma). Before that, Hill provided vocals for and co-wrote Wilkinson's song "Afterglow", which peaked at number 8 on the UK Singles Chart in October 2013.

Since then the singer's been more actively building her fan base, having played a number of small venues and festivals and even sung the national anthem at the Women's FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium in 2015. In May 2017, Hill signed a worldwide publishing deal with Sony and released fourth single "Unpredictable" from the Eko EP (preceded by "Back to my Love", "Warm" and "Rude Love"), along with the EP itself in August 2017.

Upon signing her record deal, manager Alex Martin was quoted as saying: "Becky is at an incredibly exciting stage in her career. The public have only seen a small amount of Becky as a solo artist and what she can do and we were looking for the right partner to work with to take that further"
