Constructed in 1960, Bristol Motor Speedway is the third-largest sports venue in the United States. Since the first NASCAR race was held in 1961, Bristol has grown into one of the most popular tracks on the NASCAR circuit. The concrete track has a 600-foot straightaway, progressive banking from 24–28 degrees and is 40-feet wide.
