Thrust into international stardom

ATEEZ are a product of KQ Entertainment (Heo Young Saeng) and were founded with members Hongjoong, Yunho, Seonghwa, Yeosang, Mingi, San, Jongho and Wooyoung. They were initially named KQ Fellaz and were part of a KQ Entertainment YouTube series called "KQ Fellaz American Training" that followed the boys as they travelled to Los Angeles to compose and choreograph a song produced by their band leader, Hongjoong. Later, as teasers for their own reality show were being released, they announced their official name: ATEEZ. The show was thus called "Code Name is ATEEZ" and premiered on South Korean TV music channel Mnet in 2018. Eventually, ATEEZ would release some music! It came later that year with debut EP "Treasure EP.1: All to Zero". The EP featured the tracks "Treasure" and "Pirate King" and hit No. 7 on the South Korean music charts. ATEEZ performed their first live show live on the Mnet show "M Countdown" and later embarked on their first tour, including dates in the United States and across Europe. All were completely sold out! Before heading off for an Australian tour in 2019, ATEEZ scooped up two awards from popular music TV shows – one from "M Countdown" and another first-place prize from "The Show". They also won a 2019 Soribada Award for Best Performance a few months later.
