American Family Insurance Amphitheater Tickets
The American Family Insurance Amphitheater was originally named the Marcus Amphitheater. It is located in the Henry Maier Festival Park in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The amphitheater opened its doors in 1987. It was built after the original Marcus Amphitheater experienced an extremely overcrowded condition in 1984 during a Huey Lewis and the News concert. The seating capacity at the time was 15,000, but the concert drew an audience of over 30,000. The American Family Insurance Amphitheater currently has a seating capacity of 23,000, which includes 6,800 general admission seats, 9,200 pavilion seats and 7,000 reserved lawn seats. The amphitheater is a venue for concerts and events, which include Summerfest. Musicians Sara McLachlan and ZZ Top also frequently perform at the amphitheater.
