The Production Alliance Group 300 is a NASCAR Xfinity Series race held every year at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif. Originally called California Speedway, the track opened on June 20, 1997, and hosted its first Xfinity Series race in October of that year. Todd Bodine was the first Xfinity Series driver to take the checkered flag at the new track, and he still holds the record for the worst starting position of an eventual race winner after taking the green flag from the 28th position. The track, which is located just 50 miles outside of Los Angeles, Calif., has hosted at least one Xfinity Series race each season since its opening. Auto Club Speedway was the host of two Xfinity Series races each season from 2004 until 2010 before going back to a single race per year in 2011. In February 2008, the name of the track was changed from California Speedway to Auto Club Speedway when the Automobile Club of Southern California bought the naming rights to the track.
