Sir Tom Jones: age no barrier for touring superstar
Born in a South Wales coal mining family in 1940, Tom Jones first discovered his musical prowess in the school choir. Initially showing off his outstanding vocal talent at family gatherings and weddings, he captured the attention of numerous record labels as a teenager after fronting a local beat group. The singer found stardom on his move to London in the mid-1960s, with singles such as "It's Not Unusual" catapulting him into the spotlight, both in the UK and internationally. Most recently returning as a judge and coach on the BBC TV show The Voice, Jones has cultivated a new generation of fans through his television work over the past half decade.
His 2018 tour is presented by live music promoters Cuffe and Taylor and Director Peter Taylor said: "Tom is a true music legend and I’m delighted we are once again working with him in 2018. We have presented many gigs with Tom and it never fails to impress me just what a first class performer this man is. His voice is incredible and the crowds absolutely adore him. This tour will be an amazing series of concerts in some of the most magnificent and beautiful locations."
