The Stylistics - Legendary Soul group Announce UK Live Concert
Famous for iconic songs like 'You Make Me Feel Brand New' and 'Betcha by Golly, Wow', one of the best known soul groups of the '70s are reforming for a number of live dates across the US and an exclusive performance at London's O2 Arena on 26th November. The Philadelphia four-piece had a string of top ten hits in their heyday and the tour will see them play all the classics along with a few special additions in a concert that promises to get you up on your feet dancing. The Stylistics Biography - Original Four Back Together Again
Born out of the ashes of The Percussions and The Monarchs, Russell Thompkins Jr., Airrion Love, James Dunn and Herbie Murrell came together to record 'You're a Big Girl Now', reaching number seven on the US Billboard R&B charts. The band then began working with producer Thom Bell, who at that time was renowned for his work with hit makers The Delfonics. The next three albums were stacked with hits like 'Stop, Look, Listen', 'I'm Stone in Love With You' and 'You Make Me Feel Brand New', with the latter holding the number two spot for two weeks.
Throughout the rest of the decade and after a split with Bell, the group found increasing success in Europe - their lighter pop sound gave them a number one in the UK with 'Can't Give You Anything', and they secured further hits with 'Sing Baby Sing' and 'Can't Help Falling in Love'. They continued to tour until 2000 when Thompkins left the group to pursue a solo career, but Love, Murrell, Brown and Sharp are back together as a four-piece for a special tour celebrating all their greatest hits.
