Public Service Broadcasting Biography - The Sample Masters, Live on Stage
This truly unique duo comprises of two mysterious London musicians who go under the names J. Willgoose Esq. and Wrigglesworth. The former performs guitar and banjo as well as various electronic instruments, while the latter plays drums and piano as well as chipping in on electronic duties. The pair have forged their distinctive sound by taking samples from old public information films - hence their name - as well as other styles of archive footage including propaganda films. Their mantra is to "teach the lessons of the past through the music of the future", and their sound is a suitably retro-futuristic blend of acoustic and electronic music. Their debut album Inform Educate Entertain came out in May 2013 and instantly earned them a loyal cult fan base, following their EPs EP One and The War Room.
