Entertainingly scandalous, it tells the story of Donna and her daughter Sophie, who is on the verge of marrying her fiancé Sky at her mother's B&B on the Greek island of Kalokairi. In an attempt to unearth the identity of her father, Sophie invites Donna's former lovers to attend her wedding without telling her mom. As the three men - Sam, Bill and Harry - show up at the B&B, Donna discovers her daughter's plan, setting off a series of amusing acts set to the tunes of Swedish pop group ABBA.
