From pirate radio to hit compilations

DZ EZ first came to the world's attention playing house music on pirate radio before launching his own club night, Club Z, at London's Gas Club. In 1999, he was given his own late-night show on Kiss 100, where he showcased the best of the two-step garage sound that had started to dominate the London club scene. His show was such a success that DJ EZ was quickly moved to Saturday night primetime, and he was later given his own Friday night show, "Destination Weekend," which became a staple of the station's schedule. DJ EZ went on to pick up three gongs at the People's Choice Music Awards, raise over £60,000 for charity with a 24-hour DJing marathon and perform at Glastonbury Festival, V Festival and Creamfields. As well as spinning other people's records, DJ EZ also created several of his own, including 2002 EP "The Next Chapter" and 2013's "FabricLive 71," while he was also responsible for overseeing "Pure Garage," a two-step compilation series that spawned over a dozen volumes and shifted approximately two million copies in the UK.
