Cornbury Park can be found in a charming part of Oxfordshire. It covers roughly 5,000 acres, including the lovely Wychwood Forest, which forms part of the park as well. Cornbury Park is a very historic place of interest in the UK, having first been mentioned in the Domesday Book. The buildings in the park date back to the late 16th century and the first Earl of Danby, until it became the seat of the Baron of Rotherwick. Robin Cayzer, third Baron Rotherwick, decided to sponsor a music festival in the park (which is essentially his family home), and since the 2010s, the Wilderness Festival has taken place here every year. This is a combination of live music and cult films, where lovers of these art forms get to frolic on a charming riverbank in-between taking in some excellent indie and dance music. Past performers have included the likes of Groove Armada and Bombay Bicycle Club, as well as lesser-known, more eclectic bands like Captain Accident and The Disasters. A perfect setting for trail running too

There are other things to do at Cornbury Park, and high on the agenda here is trail running. The park hosts the first leg of the Oxfordshire Epic Trail, known as Tough Runner UK. It's a picturesque event, allowing you to take in the unique and ancient forest habitat of the area, assuming you're able to as you're slogging along, that is. The park has also always hosted several charity events each year, and selected other events include rural dining experiences, arts and crafts exhibitions, and small theatrical events.
