Bryan Adams: one of the most decorated artists of all time
Adams's breakthrough to the big time came in 1984, with the slick, expertly-produced chart-topping hit album Reckless. One of the lasting albums of the decade, Reckless was jam-packed with hits, including "Run to You", "Heaven", "It's Only Love" and the fan favourite "Summer of '69". The album launched Adams to mega-stardom, and the singer set off on a huge world tour to promote it. Three years later, Into the Fire, the Reckless follow-up, was another top-10 hit, with hit singles "Hearts on Fire" and "Victim of Love".
As the 1990s dawned, Adams scored his biggest – and most memorable hit – with the number one hit song "(Everything I Do) I Do It for You", from the Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves soundtrack, and his new album, Waking up the Neighbours. The album was a massive hit in the United States and Europe and also produced the singles "Can't Stop This Thing We Started" and "Do I Have to Say the Words?".
In 1993, Adams found success again with music for movies, scoring with the song "All for Love" (along with Rod Stewart and Sting) for The Three Musketeers, and he had another hit with "Please Forgive Me" off his compilation album "So Far So Good". 1996 saw the release of 18 til I Die, which had the MTV video hit "The Only Thing That Looks Good on Me Is You". He released On a Day Like Today in 1998, and most recently, his 12th, critically acclaimed, album Get Up in 2015.
