VNV Nation Biography - Tearing up Dancefloors

Growing up listening to powerful dark electro bands like Whitehouse, Ronan Harris aspired to become a dance music alchemist himself. Sowing the seeds of his group in 1990, Harris envisioned a completely new electro sound characterised by powerful vocals and metaphysical lyrics. Drawing inspiration from different music genres, Harris released the Bodyshock EP and toured the US and Canada before meeting fellow electro lover Mark Jackson a few years later.

The pair decided to fuse their musical prowess to form a duo, sharing the vision of creating fantastic art inspired future-pop. After debuting with 1995's impressive Advance and Follow album and following up with 1998's Praise the Fallen, they released their defining musical statement, Empires, the following year. Building their following in clubs around the world, they were soon crashing the charts with albums such as Futureperfect and Judgement. Now a fixture at dance festivals across the planet, they're a scintillating live act known for their boundless energy and endless arsenal of floor-shaking beats.
