Three Days Grace Biography - Over a Decade of Rock Brilliance

Formed in Ontario, Canada in 1992, these heavy rockers were originally known as Groundswell, with the first incarnation of the band coming to an end in 1995. Two years later, under their new name, singer/guitarist Adam Gontier, drummer Neil Sanderson and bassist Brad Walst regrouped and moved to Toronto. It would be years before they were signed to Jive Records, but during this time they honed their sound and eventually released their self-titled album in 2003, the same year Barry Stock was recruited as lead guitarist.

The band enjoyed success but Gontier battled with personal demons, writing lyrics for the band�s second album as he recovered from his misfortunes. They returned in 2006 with second album One-X and consolidated their success, following it up with Life Starts Now in 2009 then Transit of Venus in 2012.

In 2013 Gontier left the band, although fans were delighted to hear that Matt Walst - singer with My Darkest Days - was joining the fray, allowing them to continue into a new chapter of their career.
