Josh Widdicombe Biography - Making the Everyday Funny
First stumbling upon the comedy scene back in the late '00s, the aspiring comedian found his big break after progressing to the finals of Channel 4's So You Think You're Funny competition at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. He has since performed at the event every year as part of comedy sketch show Superclump. Back in 2011, his debut solo performance at the festival - If this Show Saves One Life... - saw the baby-cheeked entertainer nominated for Best Newcomer at Foster's Edinburgh Comedy Awards. The sharp-witted comedian is a favourite on panel shows, having featured on a handful of both radio and TV programmes including 8 Out of 10 Cats and Mock the Week to name just a few. His comedic talents were also sought out to provide a more alternative view of the events happening in London during the 2012 Olympics alongside Adam Hills. Winner of the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2010, the stand-up comic has toured alongside Stephen Merchant, Michael McIntyre and Alan Carr during his short yet successful time in the industry.
