Set against Charing Cross Road in the heart of London's West End, Garrick Theatre was named after one of the most influential Shakespearean actors of the time, David Garrick. First opening to Covent Garden crowds on 24 April 1889, Garrick Theatre became well-known for hosting melodramas and comedy shows such as No Sex Please We're British and Dracula amongst other well-known productions.

Live Theatre at Garrick Theatre - A West End Icon

Notoriously difficult to build, the Garrick Theatre boasts a beautiful gold leaf auditorium and even an underground river amongst its long list of original features. Saved from the brink of destruction in the late '60s after plans to extend Covent Garden were scrapped, the Garrick Theatre underwent a facelift in 1997. This makeover restored its iconic front facade along Charing Cross Road. Today it remains the pride of London's West End.

For years, crowds have been flocking to popular Broadway musicals playing at Garrick Theatre, Chicago included. The Garrick Theatre stage has also played host to a wealth of top acting talent including Sheila Hancock, Christian Slater and Dame Judi Dench, along with comedians Ross Noble, Ricky Gervais and psychological illusionist Derren Brown. Steeped in history, the Garrick Theatre proved the perfect setting to bring Brown's brand of other-worldly communications to live audiences.
