When it opened in the 1970s, this venue was called the Pine Knob Music Theatre. Many locals still use the name today, sometimes referring to it as simply "The Knob." Now renamed the DTE Energy Music Theatre, it boasts being one of the most-used amphitheaters in the US. David Cassidy, then teen-idol, was one of the first concerts offered at the theater. Located northwest of Detroit in the lush forests of Clarkston, Michigan, the DTE Energy Music Theatre is a lasting favorite for concert-goers because of its amazing views and ambiance. Recent renovations replaced the sound system with a state-of-the-art upgraded system. The Meyer MILO Line Array system places the speakers above concert-goers' heads for better sound quality and less fatigue. The DTE Energy Music Theatre hosts diverse musical groups such as Slayer, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band and Thomas Rhett. Grab your tickets to DTE Energy Music Theatre events at StubHub.

The amphitheater has a seating capacity of 15,274 people. There are five seating zones, including a lawn section. Excluding the lawn, most of the seating areas are covered by a large, fixed canopy. The closest seats are located in Section A nearest the stage. Here, you'll be nearly face-to-face with performers.
