Corrosion of Conformity Biography - A Full Metal Racket
These heavy metal legends formed in 1982 in Raleigh, North Carolina, based around the songwriting nucleus of guitarist Woody Weatherman and bass player Mike Dean (who spent six years out of the band after leaving in 1987 but returned later). Completed by drummer Reed Mullin and rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan, albums such as Eye for an Eye (1984), Animosity (1985) and 1991's Blind led to them signing to the Columbia label in 1993 and going on to score hits such as 'Albatross' and 'Clean My Wounds' from the subsequent Deliverance album.
Wiseblood followed in 1996 and following a period of inactivity they roared back to their best with their 2014 comeback album IX, arguably their finest effort to date. Back on top of the metal game and ready to climb on stage once more, they're set to dominate the rock world once again with their intense sound.
