Greg Davies Biography - Towering Comedy Presence

Born in Wales but growing up across the English border in Shropshire, this natural class clown made the perhaps surprising choice of becoming a teacher after leaving school. A late starter in the entertainment business, he spent 13 years teaching drama and English before getting his big break in a series of Channel 4 adverts for The Ashes in 2005. His stand-up and TV career soon blossomed, seeing him nominated for multiple Chortle Awards in 2007 including Best Breakthrough Act and Best Sketch, Variety or Character Actor. Now the star of shows such as We Are Klang and The Inbetweeners, his brand of wacky stand-up comedy has earned him a coveted nomination for the Edinburgh Comedy Award.
