Tunes you’ve heard blasted on the radio
While growing up in Helsinki, Yotto was constantly surrounded by music and enjoyed a variety of genres from heavy metal to hip hop. Learning the piano at a young age developed his knowledge of melody and he began experimenting with electronic production as a teenager. He first broke on to the radar in 2015 with his debut release, "Azzurro" – a dulcet deep house track which was featured on BBC Radio 1. The song was positively received in the underground scene and built suspense for his next hit, "Personal Space". The constant stream of single releases continued in 2016 as Beatport charted his "Fire Walk" track at Number One. Adept at constructing melodic beats that draw you further in with every repetition, the engaging songs are even more impactful in live performances. Yotto has an assured presence behind the decks and builds an emphatic atmosphere at his concerts. Make sure you’re in the crowd when he next takes to the stage by purchasing Yotto tickets on StubHub.
Yotto: master of the remix
The Finnish DJ first made waves as a remix specialist when restructuring "Like An Animal" by Australian indie dance trio Rufus. Toning down the original provided a fresh take and the rejigged track was extended to last over seven minutes. Expectations were taken to new heights in 2016 when he was requested to reproduce the wildly popular Coldplay song "Adventure of a Lifetime". Yotto duly delivered and it was heavily featured by Above & Beyond. Evidencing his ability to separate his music from genre limitations, remix collaborations have involved pop outfit London Grammar, synth rockers M83, and alternative virtual band Gorillaz. International tours have spanned the world and included stops at famous festivals such as Coachella and Electric Zoo.
