The Von Braun Center includes the Von Braun Center Arena, which houses mostly sporting events, and the Von Braun Center Concert Hall, which hosts all manner of performing arts events, including concerts, plays, ballets and more. The center is located in Huntsville, Ala. It opened in 1975 and was called the Von Braun Civic Center until 1997 when it lost the "Civic" from its name. The center is used for numerous local events, such as high school graduations and local arts and crafts fairs, but there have also been many great musicians on stage there, too, including Elvis, who played five back-to-back shows there in June 1975. What is the seating capacity of the concert hall?

While the entire VBC complex - both the concert hall and the arena - seats a total of 10,000 people, the Von Braun Center Concert Hall seating capacity is only 1,955. Some events that are expected to draw larger crowds are held in the VBC arena instead.

Is the venue wheelchair friendly?

There is seating available for patrons in wheelchairs as well as tickets for companion seats for up to three people who'd like to join them.
