Tribute Communities Centre TicketsThe Tribute Communities Centre opened in 2006 as a replacement for the Oshawa Civic Auditorium. Located in downtown Oshawa, Ontario, this multipurpose arena is home to the Oshawa Generals, a team that plays in the Ontario Hockey League. In addition, it has hosted other sporting events and performers, such as Jerry Seinfeld and Gucci Mane. In the past, this venue has been home to the Durham TurfDogs and Oshawa Machine, both former lacrosse teams, and the Oshawa Power, a former team that was part of the National Basketball League of Canada. What is the Tribute Communities Centre seating capacity?Seating varies depending on the type of Tribute Communities Centre event. Hockey games can accommodate 5,180 fans, with several hundred more being able to fit in standing-room-only sections. Concerts can seat between 3,200 and 7,300 guests.
How is the seating arranged?Sections 101 through 120 are in the lower level, and the sections in the 200s are in the upper tier. There are also club seats, and suites are located in the upper tier. Suites come with in-seat service from a personal attendant, a VIP entrance and VIP parking.
Can I park at the centre?Guests on their way to Tribute Communities Centre events can park in metered spots along the street, which are free weeknights after 6 pm and on weekends, or in any of the downtown facilities. There are over 2,000 spots in the vicinity of the arena.
Is public transportation available?The centre has a convenient location in downtown Oshawa close to many transit lines. The 402, 405, 407, 411 and 414 are some of the bus routes that can put you within a few blocks of the arena. Spectators coming from the west may take trains on the Durham Region Transit red line.
Is there food available for purchase at the centre?There are numerous food options during Tribute Communities Centre events. For quick service, visit any of the five concession stands located in the arena for refreshments, snacks and light meals. If you prefer restaurant dining while at the venue, the Prospects Bar & Grill serves up a variety of dishes, including shareable appetizers, hearty entrees and sandwiches.
Are there any attractions near the arena?If you wish to explore the Oshawa neighbourhood before or after an event, Memorial Park and the Canadian Automotive Museum are a few blocks away. Numerous restaurants, cafes and bars are located on or near King and Bond Streets.
