Totally Wicked Stadium
Totally Wicked Stadium, a home of British rugby league
Totally Wicked Stadium might be better known to you as Langtree Park, especially if you're a rugby league fan. It has been the home ground of St Helen's Saints since 2012, and was renamed to align with sponsorship requirements in 2017. But a rose by any other name, right? It is mostly used as a sports venue and occasionally hosts large-scale arena concerts featuring some of the biggest pop stars in the UK, as well as the odd international artist on tour. You can buy or sell Totally Wicked Stadium tickets on StubHub.
Super League rugby and World Cup matches
The first rugby league match that was played at Totally Wicked Stadium was contested between St Helens and Widnes Vikings, prior to the kick-off of the 2012 Super League season, whilethe first regular season game was between the home team and Salford Red Devils. The ground has an official capacity of 18,000 for rugby games, and can of course accommodate a good few thousand more for live concerts. The stands themselves are a mix of terraces and seating, with the south stand also housing hospitality boxes. For the best vantage point, head for the north stand, which also has the advantage of being completely seated. It's also the end to head for if you want to join the home fans for a taste of Merseyside league football. The stadium was also the venue for the first rugby league International Origin match that pitted England against the Exiles in 2012. In the same year, England Knights took on Ireland in an international friendly match. It also saw action during the Rugby League World Cup of 2013. On the domestic competition front, the ground hosted one of the 2014 Challenge Cup semi-finals, unfortunately not featuring the home team. So if top-class rugby league is your sport of choice and you're up north, Totally Wicked Stadium tickets are a firm recommendation.
Come and watch Liverpool FC Reserve games here too
Totally Wicked Stadium hasn't been all about rugby league, however, although this what you can expect for the most part when you're checking out what's on at the ground. Association football has always been played there too, and it's been the home of Liverpool FC Reserves since it was first constructed, and of the club's U18 team. The venue has also hosted dozens of U19 and U21 matches, and NextGen series matches have often been played there as well, including a famous semi-final game between Liverpool U19s and AFC Ajax U19s. So you can enjoy top class age group football here too. As mentioned, every now and then, the venue is given over to open-air pop music, as witnessed by performances from some of the UK's most successful pop outfits, like Little Mix. So keep a beady eye on our listings for these types of shows too, when you're casting around for Totally Wicked Stadium tickets on StubHub.
