Multiple Juno Award winners
The Strumbellas' core-line up of frontman Simon Ward, guitarist Jon Hembrey, bassist Darryl James, keyboardist David Ritter, violinist Isabel Ritchie, and drummer Jeremy Drury first came together in Toronto, Ontario in 2008. The group landed a residency at their hometown's iconic Cameron House venue after releasing their eponymous first EP a year later, while their debut album, 'My Father and the Hunter', hit the shelves in 2012. Released through Six Shooter Records and produced by Ryan Hadlock (The Lumineers), 2013 sophomore 'We Still Move on Dance Floors' won Roots & Traditional Album of the Year - Group at the Juno Awards. But it was their 2016 third LP, 'Hope', which proved to be their commercial breakthrough, peaking at No.3 in their homeland and spawning the single 'Spirits', which spent two weeks atop the Billboard Alternative Songs. The Strumbellas also appeared on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' and at the NHL Heritage Classic in support of the record before heading out on their first major tour across the world. Their fourth album, 'Rattlesnake', arrived in 2019. Take a look at the range of The Strumbellas tickets currently available on StubHub.
Sing-alongs and stomp-alongs
The Strumbellas' anthemic blend of alternative country, emo, indie rock, and gothic folk packs an even bigger punch on stage than it does on record, as those who have attended their sets at high-profile festivals such as Bonnaroo Music Festival, Lollapalooza and British Summer Time will already know. Expect plenty of opportunities to sing along and stomp along when the band come to town to showcase their tight-knit musicianship, awe-inspiring harmonies, and ability to command a crowd like few other acts of their ilk. Fans should also look forward to hearing all of the highlights from their studio efforts, including the hits 'Young and Wild', 'Salvation', 'Spirits', and 'We Don't Know', the latter two of which won Single of the Year at the Juno Awards and Canadian Independent Music Awards, respectively.
