If there's one band who personify and define British ska music to its core, it's these Coventry legends. From their birth in the 1970s through to their stunning reunion that kicked up in the late '00s to introduce a whole new generation to their brilliance, they've never let up the passion, fire and intensity that first carved them out as one of the country's best. Every concert is a piece of living musical history, but one that feels as vital and fresh now as it ever did. Luckily for you, the band is once again hitting the road with a string of shows up and down the country in 2016, but be quick - their live performances are always hugely popular.

The Specials Biography - Terry Hall's Legends In The Flesh
In 1977, Jerry Dammers, Tim Strickland, Lynval Golding, Silverton Hutchinson and Horace Panter got together and called themselves The Automatics, then The Coventry Automatics, after their hometown. Strickland was soon replaced by Terry Hall, completing the line-up of one of the most iconic British bands of all time. Later they changed their name to the current incarnation, with John Bradbury replacing Hutchinson, and that set the stage for their debut single 'Gangster' to storm the charts and grab a nation's attention.
The band went on to define two-tone and ska music in the UK with their resolutely British sound and lyrics, blasting out hits including 'A Message to You, Rudy' and 'Too Much Too Young'. Having gone through many years of flux and projects, the band finally kicked off a full reunion in 2009, delighting fans by finding the live form they always had from the start. Most recently joined by Libertines drummer Gary Powell, the band is back at their best, firing out hit after hit with a smooth musicianship that borders on the inhuman.
