Royal Blood: bluesy twosome announce huge UK tour in 2017, including three dates at London's Alexandra Palace
Since forming in 2013, drum-and-bass rock duo Royal Blood have garnered a reputation for their highly distinctive, aggressive bluesy-rock sound. The pair's self-titled debut album – released in August 2014 – was both a critical and commercial success; reaching number one in the Official Albums Chart and becoming the fasting-selling British rock album of the past three years.
After a slew of big festivals across the world including South by Southwest, Download and Glastonbury in recent years, the twosome have announced another huge European tour to see out 2017, including 13 dates in the UK and Ireland throughout November.
Royal Blood will call at Cardiff, Reading, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Glasgow, Nottingham, Dublin, Bournemouth and Brighton, along with playing three consecutive nights at London's Alexandra Palace.

Royal Blood: meteoric rise to the top
This Brighton indie duo decided to form a band when Ben picked Mike up from the airport after a lengthy trip to Australia. The two-piece grabbed their guitars that evening and played their first gig the following day – and it seems a swift rise to the top of the charts will garnish the whirlwind that has characterised their formation. Boasting an ear-splitting offering crammed full of heavy riffs, reminiscent of The White Stripes and Queens of the Stone Age, the boys have a knack for getting the balance of melody and aggression just right.
It has been an unprecedented couple of years for the duo, having been listed on BBC's Sound of 2014; scored a number one album in the same year; and been awarded multiple 'Best live band' awards along the way. Royal Blood's second album How Did We Get So Dark? was released to critical acclaim in June 2017, with fans being treated to the new tracks soon after during the band's huge European tour.
